Review on The Boy who harnessed the wind ...
We Indians always grew up with watching Stereotyped Indian movies and we are Sticked to it ., Most of the Indian creators don’t want to experiment something new., All we have is fight , romance, carchase, dancing around the tree from our makers started making the movies. We know that movies which has good screenplay doesn’t perform well here, In India good movies are decided only how much crores invested in it & how strong the cast and crew is . Recently I came across a Webseries called “THE BOY WHO HARNESSED THE WIND” in Netflix ., Before getting into the topic I want to clarify one thing that I am here not to delve or review this series ., I am here to share the impeccable experience which I get through this movie.
William , boy from Malawi he has
talent of fixing the radios whatever condition it is ., Despite of his
financial struggles from his family , William is continuing his school
studies., At one stage his parents failed to pay his school fees and he is
forced to leave from his school by the authorities'. William has one sister
and she is in love with his William’s teacher ,As a school dropout , William
never leads his life to wrong way he ,wants
to do new things and he is keenly interested in the Technological things
., For Getting permission to entering the school library , William
threatened his teacher that he will expose his love affairs to his parents ,so
that teacher convinced the library IN charge to
enter William to the library. This is the turning point of William life., he
finds book in the library that how to
generate electricity from the wind mill., William’s father trywell was a
traditional farmer, without farming they don’t know nothing else, and Malawi
was a dry land and in here we cannot predict
a climate easily ., If there is a
rain and it’s in extreme level and it affects the all the farm lands &
cultivated crops ., Malawi is facing the same situation which I mentioned now ,
after the heavy rainfall now Malawi is facing the drought . William used to
help his father in his agriculture activities and I his free time he collected
the motor parts and other usable items in the scrap-yard., William tried the
prototype of the windmill which he is planning to built in the future and it
came out very well and he is taking this idea to his father and his father
declined his idea and asked him to concentrate in farming., his idea was making
the windmill and generate electricity though this and power the motor and take
the water out from well., He got his idea by watching the dynamo of the
teachers bicycle and he is wondering that how this dynamo works. He started
reading the books in the library regarding this dynamo and Windmill.,
Finally he
convinced his father that he will succeed his windmill idea and asked his
father’s bicycle for windmill parts., With heavy hearted he gave his bicycle
for his son’s project , during this tough situation bicycle was the only worth
able asset they have , with the support of the villagers he started
constructing the windmill and finally succeed it and It started pumping the water
and his father was proud of him ., At the moment windmill started working
William remembering all his hardships which he came across., Words of William came true and he is awarded by
high school scholarship and he got graduated from Dartmouth university. You might
think that this is film and we cannot relate it with the real life but the fact
is more half percentage of the Africa is still in this condition, they were
struggling to fulfill his basic needs and
this comes lime light during this covid situation because African
countries don’t have much money to invest in R&D to develop the vaccines
and these western Countries are treating Africa with biased mindset that 1/10
of African peoples getting their Vaccines ., Politically they were getting no
support and there is a leader among the community to lead them , if some one
wants to capture the power , they want the support of that leader and people
are following the words of him. Political parties started giving the false
promises and ruined the life of that people. I Felt that , OK Politics is same
everywhere lol !
I don’t usually watch much movies especially these Hollywood movies and Webseries., But one of my close friend recommended me to watch this Webseries and I did it., Seriously , this is a next level experience for me .,We feel like that, Director takes us to the africa and we are experiencing the happenings nearby., All the Mudhouses , trees here and there , their traditional dances , their farming methods are Worthable visual treat for us., We Indians always pacifying ourselves that we are far better than Africa , but all the things happening in our country is leading is to the Africa., I wrote all these effects in one of my previous article very precisely ., Refer : https://www.blogger.com/blog/post/edit/4368856735563138366/7080034126603675095 ., There is a scene in this movie , that peoples started robbing the food items instead of luxurious things , this portrays that future wars are not capturing the powers , it should be for food and water. This movie is not a fictional movie all these things are happened really in Africa and we should take this movie as a lesson and aware that this kind of situation never let to affect In our country. I really inspired by this movie and I strongly recommend everyone to watch this movie .
